Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission Archives
These are the Statements of Reasons issued by the SCCRC in
reponse to my applications of 2006 and 2020 for reviews of my Careless Driving conviction.
These documents are published as examples of SCCRC reports. As there are a number of inconsistencies in the facts presented by the SCCRC, as well as examples of contentious reasoning,
the SCCRC's verdict is disputed.
Case Nos: MH0745 & 2780
MH0745 was the reference attached to the 2006 case. 'MH' refers to Michael Hanlon, the SCCRC's acting Secretary (on secondment from the Crown Office).
An analysis of the disputed verdict has been published elsewhere.
In addition to these reports, a series of What-Do-They-Know style Freedom of Information requests and responses are included.
